It is not the wide-open space, the class rooms, the library, the laboratories or the large fields that make the school. It is in the heart of the students and the staff that the true institution exists.
Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to enlighten and empower its students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an ever-changing global society.
While academic excellence is a major thrust, schools should be devoted to prepare the students for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow, and encourage them to be socially relevant. We should constantly endeavour to live up to this ideology and inculcate this into everything we do, with the aim that we will be able to ensure that the children grow to their full potential, while constantly being groomed as men and women competent to bear responsibility in all walks of life.
A student harnessed in such an atmosphere has every hope and possibility of becoming a responsible, balanced and a mature adult who is able to contribute and shoulder responsibilities of the society, of which he forms an integral part. Students need a supportive environment both at home and at school. They need to set goals, within their reach to gain confidence and determination.
In today's world education is a joint venture, an association between the school and home to ensure a child's success. This necessitates co-operation between the learners, mentors, parents and the community. Parents play a vital role in the journey towards excellence and their contribution will be a great support to the student community at large.
Man's creation is the most marvellous of all creations of God. Children are the manifestation of his creativity, attending to the symmetric synchronization of both the mind and the body. Through education, we effect out positive modification in one's character. Hence, education is a lifelong process which starts from cradle and ends in grave. Every day we learn something. Education trains the mind to think. Hence, there is an unquenchable thirst for knowledge among our children. We should ignite the spark of quest for knowledge in them!
